ew things come close to the satisfaction you feel when you surf the internet only to bump into a site that offers the kind of fashion pieces you particularly fancy. If you’re a busy mother and entrepreneur like myself, you’d understand how pumped I am whenever I don’t need to step out of my house to make a purchase. This was especially the case when I spotted the exact shade of a neon sling bag I have coveted for a while on San Marina. I was immediately drawn in so I kept exploring the site.
What’s not to love about spring and summer fashion? It seems that as soon as warmer weather shows up, the shopping fairy godmother seems to sprinkle her pixie dust, and off we go adding both comfort buys and utilitarian finds to our carts. While I marveled at the eclectic pieces that were soon-to-be-mine from San Marina, it was a tad surprising that the brand has been around for 40 years and I was only just discovering them. Better late, right?
What I discovered about San Marina
San Marina’s French fashion origin is obvious in its timeless, effortless and minimalistic collection of shoes and bags. From men’s to women’s fashion, the pieces boast of a classic and trendy blend––typical of the millennial Parisienne. Think vibrant takes on staple accessories that put a swank in every step. One thing European fashion is famed for is leather, and with leather bags and shoes honed in Portugal and Italy, the quality and finishing of San Marina pieces seem like one to trust. The latter is important as I can’t begin to speak on the embarrassment of a marred leather shoe in public. The horror!

Whether it’s a floral print maxi dress or a slinky wrap skirt paired with a tee, any basic look can be spruced up with this beauty.

Metallics are a girl’s best friend––right next to diamonds. Think of this purse as my spring/summer night out enabler, and my legion of matching metallic shoes will definitely be happy to welcome a new member to the force.

Fast forward to recent times and pairing sneakers with almost everything in your closet has become the norm. Fashion has slowly debunked the notion that readily linked it with discomfort––a.k.a “no pain, no gain.” Right now, a comfortable and chic pair of sneakers do right by a suit set, as well as dresses of every silhouettes. Needless to say, these sneakers hit the expected sartorial mark.

#6. Stay fluorescent with neon-colored bags
Neon-colored everything remains the diamond of the season. A ready pop of color infused into any outfit, whether minimalist or maximalist, is sure to make a longstanding statement. Like the youngins say, this bag passes the “vibe check!”

#7. Oh, the practicality of necklace TARLIA!
I’m already envisioning myself finishing off a tiered skirt and peasant blouse with this whimsical necklace that doubles as a phone holder. A fancy spring/summer accessory for sure; and absolutely perfect for keeping your phone close while running quick errands or during busy airport moments. I’m sold!

#8. The CAP YOICA
After sporting this baddie, it’s been hard to see myself doing summer without a unique straw face cap. It definitely makes every look Rave-worthy! This must-have doubles as a sun protector and can be paired with every piece from an oversized button-down shirt to a mini sundress.

#9. Derby shoes for the boo
Since Father’s Day is barely weeks away, it came to mind that these dapper derbies are a perfect gift for the husbae. The other day, I noticed him drooling over my pair of statement derbies. Something tells me that these San Marina Seluri Derbies will prove once again how attentive I am to his needs. No?

#10. Ankle boots because, why not?
The cold season may mostly be behind us but nothing beats curating your wardrobe ahead of the seasonal rush. Okay, I’ll confess: that’s only partly the reason I favorited these boots. My affinity towards them is actually their unpretentious aura. They almost seem like the poster child for “know your worth, then add tax.” And for obvious reasons, they elevate everything. From billowy skirts to form-fitting pants, the Alena ankle boots exude effortless class and needless to say, I am in love! It doesn’t hurt that they are on sale right now.
