Last Week, PFW 2023 Saw A Slew Of Best Dressed Stars

Last week, the spotlight shone on the City of Love for the Paris Fashion Week (PFW 2023), offering an excuse to bask unapologetically in all the fashion goodness. From the runway overflowing with new and unusual renderings to celebrities sparking up the front row of these couture shows in luxurious ensembles, it was indeed a time for fashion’s darlings to put their best foot forward.

The showings in Paris were spectacular, with fashion brands like Stephane Rolland and Viktor&Rolf coming through with majestic and interesting constructions for SS23. Another highlight of the week was Doja Cat’s over-the-top looks at Paris. No doubt, the one that severed the internet was her blood-red Schiaparelli appearance. This look featured 30,000 Swarovski crystals studded across her body, a silk faille bustier, and a hand-knit wooden bead skirt. While the look triggered mixed reactions, a few would argue its “best dressed” status. Nevertheless, it was the most talked about ensemble from last week.

The Looks

Kerry Washington stepped out ready for the spring season in shades of green that have signed up as hot. Washington attended the Fendi Haute Couture show in a matching look by the brand. The green sweater top pleasantly conformed to the silk skirt, and because it’s leggings season, the actress brought sheer tights out to play.

Blackish star Yara Shahidi wore a Dior couture cocktail dress to the brand’s Paris SS23 show. The woven bodice and playful tulle details of the frock were befitting for one so full of life as Shahidi.

After Doja Cat fiercely announced her presence with the all-red outfit, she chose to pipe it low but hard in a monochrome Maison Valentino look styled with a custom Patron Èl Alto handbag. The star will always put her twist on any rendering, and this time she let her bangs do the talking.
