Ghanaian Fashion Brand Duaba Serwa Presents Their Long Awaited Capsule Collection ‘SEASON 4’

The Origami Textures collection pays homage to the art of paper folding, which was popularized in Japan and practiced by Monks who brought paper and the ideas for folding it from China in the 6th century. The brand’s use of this cultural reference is reflected in the intricacy of the clothing shapes and designs, heavily relying on sharp lines and playing on the mechanics of folding fabric weights that resemble paper onto the brand’s signature triangular pleats.

According to the designer “It is an honor to bring such intricately handmade pieces that capture the artistry, elegance and functionality to our customers,” said Nelly Hagan, Lead Designer and Founder of Duaba Serwa. “Through this collection, we hope to continue to innovate with our garments and construct luxurious style lines that cater to the woman who prefers the understated rather than flamboyant extravagance.”

Amongst the various garments it is easy to identify consistency with quality and clear points of distinction. In addition to the crisp silk taffeta and raw silks used in their previous collections, the brand explored stretch printed boucles, linens, textured crepes, batiks in various fabric bases and their signature strap beading.
