ast week drew a crowd of elegantly clad folks that stretched across the streets of New York, Los Angeles, and London for star-studded meetups like the De Beers: Where It Begins campaign, and premieres of the Glass Onion and Strange World. The stars stepped out determined to make a high fashion show on the high fashion streets and they did so with subtle yet extravagant details, rich tones, and silhouette-enhancing cuts. Star actress Gabrielle Union proved that sometimes, life could get away with being black and white. She rocked an Ellie Saab vintage RTW Fall/Winter 2008 mermaid frock with an eccentric braided updo for the Strange World movie UK premiere, and we loved every bit of the offering. Meanwhile, former first lady Michelle Obama decided to go hard on color with a chic monochrome look as she kicked off her book tour.
Except for the obvious fact that she is 6ft tall, top model Cindy Bruna stood out in a pink Avellano latex dress at the De Beers: Where It Begins event on Monday night. The look was completed with matching elbow gloves and a floral detailed De Beers necklace. The star always dresses up on her terms and never misses. Speaking of dressing on your terms, we can all agree that that’s an area Janelle Monáe thrives. Last week, she was spotted in a custom Ellie Saab statement cutout number that’s bold enough to make you go wow. The piece of art featured feather details with enough glamor to make a peacock jealous.
