Why opt for half-measures when you can go full-on dapper? Black celebrities across the globe have, of late, been dressing with impressive conviction that thoroughly reiterates the importance of assertive style. We saw this last week as the best dressed men were obviously itching to have fun with fashion and dressed the part. Whether it was tailored takes or the predominant casual gears, the result was a slew of Black celebrities in aesthetically pleasing fits.

The Looks

Neon hues get a bad rep for washing wearers out, but the right combination can do wonders. Basketball player, Jayson Tatum helped prove the versatility of neon green as he made a fashionable case for the highly avoided color at the Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets game. With a combination of the vibrancy of the neon green color and the blending nature of the camouflage print it was mixed with, the Dolce and Gabbana camouflage patchwork sweatshirt was the right choice to arrest attention at the game. Coupling it with a pair of brown Dolce and Gabbana cropped pants, a pair of Nike SB Dunk stride shoes, and a Louis Vuitton traveling bag, Tatum gave one of the week’s boldest moments. As some athletes made the most of attention-grabbing colors, some others like D’Angelo Russell found new ways to wear earth tones. Russell stepped back into the fashion spotlight for the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzles game in a brown Story MFG palm tree jacket which he put together with a pair of shadow grey pants. He completed the game-day fit with a pair of Aime Leon Dore penny loafers, a pair of brown sunglasses, a black briefcase, and a black duffle bag. The playfulness of the colors complemented Russell’s aesthetics.

Like they say when in doubt, lean into your aesthetics. That is exactly what the best dressed celebrities did last week and we are in awe. Black Celebrities Aesthetics
