Last week’s best-dressed men championed irresistible dandy style at the events they graced. Whether they were coordinating looks with their partners, gracing intimate events, or making an entrance in gameday fits, A-listers leaned towards casual looks that had distinctive features—be it quilt pads or unconventional prints.
In America, there were some color-popping silhouettes that graced the streets. Stepping out with his partner, Keyshia Ka’Oir, in a matching orange look, rapper Gucci Mane chose to pair a Rick Owens orange leather jacket with a pair of orange Tyrone leather pants. Even more impressive, he continued the monotone streak with a pair of white and orange limited edition Strobe sneakers. He then completed the ensemble with a pair of Tom Ford Drew sunglasses and some diamond bling. Talk about two times the fun!
Some of last week’s biggest games also delivered on the fashion front. Arriving for Week 5 of the National Football League’s return, Miami Dolphin player Brandon Jones slipped into a yellow Craig Green quilted padded jacket and a pair of black Circular Gallery vegan leather pants. He finished off the ensemble with a pair of white and black Off-White OOO sneakers.
At the New England Patriots’ win against the Detroit Lions, football player Davon Godchaux showed up and showed out in a Louis Vuitton patch mixed varsity jacket, which was supplemented with a pair of black Homme Plisse Issey Miyake accordion pleated pants. He bridged the gap between casual and sporty with a pair of white Lanvin paint-splatter high-top sneakers.
Indeed, A-listers served up fresh, modern takes on classic casual looks last week, and the result was a comfy, stylish, and individualistic outlook. Clearly, casual doesn’t have to mean boring.
