The Best Looks At The Paris Fashion Week + More Stunning Looks

very so often, an occasion arises that challenges you to break away from your regular fashion takes and dare to experiment with not-so-regular styles. Last week, the Paris Fashion Week served such a moment for Black celebs whose regular style, although killa enough, received a heavy dose of pizzazz fitting for the occasion. Other than the Paris Fashion Week, the Clooney Foundation for Justice Albie Awards and Nigeria’s Independence Day came along, and with them enough slay to flood our style boards.

The Looks

Marjorie Harvey descended upon the City of Lights threatening to color its entire streets pink. Mrs. Harvey was spotted at the Valentino SS23 Ready to Wear show in Paris fully fledged in a Fuschia pink Maison Valentino coat with feather details. The statement piece was then paired with Fuschia pink tights, matching pumps, and a mini Hermes Kelly of the same tone. Oh, there’s no way we’ll forget her embellished cat’s eye sunglasses that evoked a bad-girl-don’t-care vibe. Lady Marjorie sure is badass!

There’s no denying that the Harvey’s are neck-deep in the fashion waters, and we’re all for it. Last week, Lori Harvey attended the inaugural CFJ Albie Awards shimmering and shining in a white Burberry two-piece accented with silver. The look, number 54 from the Burberry Fall collection and styled by Elly Karamoh, was a subtle nod to Riccardo Tisci as he departs the London house. The loose-fitting combo features a sporty dress embellished with the Burberry icon in crystal and a long jacket with crystals studded on the collar and top half. The look required a cute factor and large white bow earrings, also from the brand, were used to accomplish this and the ensemble was finished off nicely with white pumps. As they say, like mother like daughter.

Meanwhile, over in Nigeria, the stars showed up in their best in celebration of the Nation’s 62th “birthday.” True to her reputation, Toke Makinwa threw the fashion ball out of the water in a green traditional Igbo attire featuring floral applique, beadwork, and crystal tassels. She paired this with large-cut coral accessories and a hand fan to match. We have two words: regal and glorious.
