Popular Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie woke every Ghanaian up this Wednesday with a good morning greeting in the form of a song titled ‘TRY ME’. The song rebukes claims made in Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s latest book ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ that alleges Sarkodie pushed her to have an abortion with their mutual pregnancy.

According to her, she had a relationship with Sarkodie during the times he was fairly known in Ghana but not the international sensation he is today. He was living with his mother and by her accord wasn’t ready to have a baby with her.

But as in every drama, there are always two sides to the story, and being the best rapper in Africa, Sarkodie finally put his foot down to clear the air.

In the TRY ME song published in the early hours of today, produced by legendary Ghanaian producer MOG Beats, Sarkodie makes it clear that he wasn’t ready to have a child with Yvonne Nelson, however on the contrary he was the one who told her to keep it.

Despite requesting her to keep it, she would later decides to abort it so it doesn’t get in the way of her studies. The rapper explain this was the part that upset him the most. He will further descend on the actress by stating how she picked and chose which men she dated to include in her book, but not being honest with the larger numbers of people she was sexually involved in, and that til today he still remains suspicious about her abortion, as the doctor claims it wasn’t needed.

He will conclude the song by stating her book sells not because it is really good, but because we live in a world where negativity sells. And even worse, “Don’t claim to be a good girl, you belong to the streets.”.
