Ghanaian tycoon, Nana Kwame Bediako, fondly called Cheddar, has voiced his disappointment on social media after an alleged last-minute cancellation of his planned interview with the state broadcaster, GTV.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, January 17, Cheddar claimed that the cancellation was attributed to ‘orders from above.’

The aspiring presidential candidate shared, “We are sorry to announce that my interview with @GTV_Ghana has been canceled at the last minute by ‘orders from above.’

“This has brought back memories of The Convention. #TheNewForce The Voice of the people.”

Cheddar’s mention of “The Convention” harks back to his New Africa Foundation event on January 7, which was canceled by Jubilee House. On that day, supporters of The New Force gathered at the Black Star Square, passionately singing patriotic songs as they sought entry to the venue for The Convention program.
