The MET Gala is known for its extravagant fashion statements, but unfortunately, missed the mark with her appearance this year. Despite wearing a nice outfit, it failed to impress due to some glaring issues. If you made a beautiful outfit and you wanted to throw the whole design in the trash, getting Aya to wear it with her crusty blonde weave was the perfect act for any designer.

The wanna be African rendition of Megan Thee Stallion who throws her body parts around in almost every music video, opted for a bodycon gown with a low V neckline and a slit, embellished with floral details. While the design had potential, it fell flat in execution, failing to complement her overall look.

Walking the red carpet, Aya received more questions than compliments, with some social media users even questioning her gender identity with questions like “Is She A Man?” and “Is She Transgendar?”. This may have been due to her muscular build, which led to confusion among observers.

But it didn’t end there, the dress was suffocating her booty so much, you could literally see the “Help Me” stretch marks fleeing from her chest. Furthermore, her blonde weave appeared frisky, dry and unkempt, detracting from her overall appearance and looked like it was pinned on 2 minutes before being booted out of her ride.

In hindsight, Aya may have fared better by opting for a design from African designers, showcasing her heritage and possibly earning more admiration.
