UDIAHGEBI has unveiled its ninth official collection called “CATHEDRAL 57: Chronicling Desire” featuring avantgarde style icon, TV Presenter & actor Denrele Edun and rising model Aduke Afusat Shitta-Bey.
In the words of the creative director:
Cathedral 57 is a 6-look capsule exploring the complexities of sensuality and deliberate movement, and whispering tales of desire in the ears of eager listeners.
Drawing its key inspiration from Princess Diana’s 1994 appearance at the Serpentine Gala in what became termed “the revenge dress”. I sought to capture the moment where delicate timeless beauty flirtatiously toes the line of vulgarity—soft innocence always on the verge of exploding into something more.
Cathedral 57 says “I have discovered who I am, watch me settle in…watch me own it”
With its precise tailoring, lush velvets, supple crepe, luxurious silks, soft drapes, delicate hand-done pearl embellishments juxtaposing with strong button embellishments, and whispery chiffons, making it a typical Udiahgebi fiesta.
