Courtesy of British Council Ethiopia, Hub of Addis Ababa Fashion Week, in partnership with Accra Fashion Week & FashionGHANA.com, fast rising Ghanaian designer Abigail Boison & CEO of fashion brand, Style By Magbrien will be visiting Ethiopia for the TechStitched fashion residency programme in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The programma will bring in Designers and fashion week leads from across Africa from the 17th – 28th of March 2024 for a collaboration, learning, development, and cultural exchange programme.
Abigail Boison who scooped the FashionGHANA Honors & Awards 2022 for red carpet designer of the year also recently showcased her most intricate detailed and astonighing collection at the just ended Accra Fashion Week 2023.
The selected designers will engage in the craftsmanship of traditional hand-woven materials in Ethiopia. They will also incorporate natural dye and block printing to create approximately three outfits to showcase alongside their existing collections.
Additionally, a curated workshop on digital technology amongst fashion week representatives will take place to cocreate a digital Showcasing that can strengthen collaboration among the platforms. This will conclude with a fascniating fashion show executed by the designers from the various countries.
