Nigerian dance sensation Anita Obidi, better known as Korra Obidi, faced a horrifying attack involving acid and a knife while in the United Kingdom.

The assault unfolded during a live stream on Thursday, April 11, 2024, with the dancer sharing the traumatic experience in a recent Instagram video.

In the chilling footage, Obidi can be heard crying out in pain, urgently requesting Coca-Cola to alleviate the burning sensation on her face. The video showed her attempting to wash her face with the soft drink, likely in an effort to neutralize the effects of the acid.

Police officers were swiftly on the scene, with one applying a liquid solution to her face to ease the pain, while another administered first aid by spraying her back.

Taking to Instagram, Obidi pleaded with the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the identification and capture of her attacker. She described the assailant as a Black female, approximately five feet tall. Obidi also revealed that she had previously been targeted with hateful online comments, but this physical assault has served as a shocking wake-up call.

In a message accompanying the distressing video, she shared her harrowing experience: “Currently in an ambulance to the hospital, there was a knife, acid attack on me in the UK 🇬🇧 in the middle of a live stream. There’s been a lot of hate in the past but this physical assault is a wake-up call.”
