Global footwear brand Crocs is overjoyed to welcome Cuppy, the exceptional Nigerian DJ, music businesswoman, and philanthropist, into the colourful embrace of the Crocs Fam.

Within Cuppy’s vibrant persona and boundless creativity lies a profound connection to Crocs’ mission: inspiring self-expression and encouraging all generations to Come As You Are.

Born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola in 1992 and raised in the bustling streets of Lagos, Cuppy discovered her passion for music at a young age. Today, she’s igniting a new generation to follow their passions, express themselves, and never lose sight of who they are.

Self-Expression and Success On A Global Scale

Cuppy never hesitated to push boundaries. In 2014, amidst her ascent as one of Africa’s most influential DJs, she earned her degree in business and economics from King’s College London. Her talent soon led her to grace the stage as a DJ at the prestigious MTV Africa Music Awards.

Further solidifying her influence in the music industry, Cuppy released her first compilation, The House of Cuppy, which featured EDM-esque remixes of renowned Afropop songs.

She continued to evolve her sound with The House of Cuppy II, adopting a captivating afro-house style. Later, signalling a professional and personal milestone,

Cuppy embarked on the Cuppy Takes Africa Tour, documented, and aired as a Fox Life series.

At this career-altering moment, Cuppy captivated the hearts of a global audience. And proved, without a doubt, that being true to yourself will resonate with others.

Balancing her musical pursuits with academic endeavours, Cuppy obtained a Music Business Masters Degree from New York University while interning at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint. Her talent and charisma also caught the attention of MTV2, where she served as the resident DJ on Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God in 2015.

Come As You Are with Crocs and Cuppy

Cuppy encourages young people to embrace their wild side and step out of their comfort zones. Her unique style, including her signature pink hair, embodies the spirit of individuality that Crocs champions.

With a belief in the power of self-expression and artistic freedom, Crocs offers their community and artists a platform to authentically and creatively showcase

themselves. Crocs, along with Cuppy, strive to motivate Nigerians to embrace their genuine identities and confidently present themselves as their true self and Come As You Are. Crocs and Cuppy inspire people to celebrate their individuality and break free from the norm. By customizing their own Crocs with Jibbitz™ charms and collaborating with respected community members and musicians, Crocs empowers individuals to express their uniqueness through personalisation. Crocs’ timeless clog and sandal designs act as blank canvases, fostering confidence in individuals and transforming their Crocs into a representation of personal style and imaginative self-expression through their personal Jibbitz™ charm selection.

Giving Back To The Community

While she’s making waves in the music industry and inspiring the next generation, Cuppy also makes time to give back to the community that raised her. As a Global Citizen and Save the Children ambassador, she is deeply committed to the welfare of young people.

In 2018, she established The Cuppy Foundation, organising the highly successful Cuppy Gold Gala, which raised an impressive $17 million to support displaced children across Nigeria. Cuppy’s dedication to social causes earned her induction into Forbes Magazine’s esteemed 30 under 30 class in 2020.

Cuppy’s philanthropic efforts align with Crocs’ own commitment to giving back. Crocs Cares is the brand’s philanthropy division, and its mission is to provide comfort for three key segments of our local and global communities: families, animals, and the environment.
