Looking good is great and having a great fragrance linger in the air with your presence is top-notch. For some people having a bad smell is a deal-breaker and so give time and dedication to making an impression with their perfume collections.
It’s easy to just wear your perfume in any manner, not putting in mind that there are skills and ways to apply perfumes correctly which will also help the perfume to last long.
When applying perfume correctly, there are spots considered the right spots that ought to be taken into consideration. These are parts those areas that are naturally warm and moist. They include areas like the back of the knees, the inner of the elbows, and the side of the neck and chest.
Why are these areas considered key spots? Because they allow the perfume to truly last longer. Hence your body becomes a natural diffuser to puff off fragrances as the natural heat slowly releases the ingredients of the perfume.
More spots to note while spraying perfumes are the ankles, behind the ears, the wrist, the shoulder, and the forearm.
Greta Fitz, a perfumer says a technique referred to the the as gentle application will help perfumes last longer when worn “Try dabbing your fragrance on pulse points.”
Withstand the trick to caress perfume into your skin. This is because it takes away the scents. Another perfumer and founder of DedCool Carina Chaz says that “Fragrance application can be delicate. Fragrance should sit on the skin in order to mix with your natural oils. When wrists are rubbed together, top notes will fade and evaporate.”
Do you walk into a sprayed cloud of perfume to bathe in the fragrance? Experts suggest that one should ensure that the perfume is without risk to one’s health.
According to Chaz “You never want to inhale fragrance as traditional fragrance is a pollutant. If you do want to walk into a fragrance cloud, make sure that you’re using a biodegradable fragrance.”
Explore Different Scents
Mixing scents is a craft “We can layer with a complementary scent to refresh the scent without overpowering,” says Fitz. He further explains that wearing single note fragrance is best are it awakens the olfactive to preferred fragrance. He professionally says that strong fragrances should not be mixed as it can be too much and even upset your senses and those around. Rather strong fragrances should be paired with softer fragrance like a musk or single note perfumes.
Applying to Clothing
Many individuals love to apply fragrance to clothing. Leigh Plessner, Co-Creative Director of Catbird advises that “Make sure you wave the fabric in the mist for even coverage” also noting that materials should be noted when doing this because some clothes will get stained, like silk, which can easily be tainted when using perfume oils.”
