What is Christmas and why is it such a big deal, you might wonder. Christmas is a day of religious significance for those who have faith in Christianity. On this day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ (the Messiah), who is believed to be the Son of God, with a mass service and feast. Hence the name “Christmas” comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus).
